Collection FW20
In its sustainable production commitment , DOS STUDIO proposes to reduce and recover garments and create new ones through an upcycling strategy, giving new life to the remains of fabrics and objects.
A collection in which objects and home textiles are especially important. Through patchwork technique and reused surplus fabrics from other collections, house objects such as cushions and blankets have been made, but also accessories such as scarves.
Based on the patchwork technique, so to build something new from leftover fragments, and inspired by the Japanese Kintsugi technique by which broken ceramic pieces are recomposed with a mass of gold, DOS STUDIO recovers odd dishes to give them new life by creating new ones with their fragments, using filaments of indigo blue colored epoxy resin, color that identifies DOS STUDIO, as its assemblage which recomposes them and gives them new life.
Following this trace and thinking about the timelessness of DOS STUDIO garments, the fashion collection is considered more like a capsule one based on garments and patterns that define DOS STUDIO, recreated in blue corduroy pants and wool bombers, designed as a complement to past winter collections, that moreover to be a new one by its own, allow to redefine and rescue garments from previous collections.
